Who We Are
Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development Uganda (ACORD-U) is a National Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that has worked in Uganda since 1979 initially as an implementing arm of ACORD International.
Did You Know?
ACORD-U was formally registered In 2019 as an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the National Bureau for NGOs in Uganda. ACORD-U aspires to contribute towards Uganda’s Development, Humanitarian response and to promote social justice for vulnerable communities and groups particularly the poor, children, youth and women.
Vision
A society in which all people are able to achieve their rights and fulfil their responsibilities.
Mission
We work in partnership with marginalised communities and those who have been denied their rights to analyse their situation and jointly find sustainable solutions to improve their wellbeing.
